Job Context

• Ensure safe transportation for MSF staff and goods.
• Responsible for making sure that the assigned vehicle is kept in good working condition.

Job Description / Responsibility

• Seat belts should be always fastened while driving. The driver is responsible to ensure that all the passengers in the front seat adhere to this rule.
• Drive safely and carefully, observing the speed limits and traffic rules; take extra caution in bad weather or if the road is in bad condition.
• To update the logbook: recording mileage, fuel receipts, servicing, repairs, accidents, and other incidents.
• While driving always carry valid driving licence and all documentations that are needed to drive (insurance, accident declaration sheet, HF and VHF radio frequency list and licences, maps, etc.)
• Responsible for daily vehicle check, which include (fuel level, engine oil, coolant level, brake and clutch fluids, windscreen washer fluid, radiator grill is clean, tyre condition, any possible leaks and radio equipment).
• Responsible for performing weekly vehicle check according to the MSF Logbook.
• Responsible for correct loading and unloading the vehicle.
• Accident, damage or any mechanical defect on the vehicle should be reported to immediate supervisor immediately.
• Fills his fuel tank(s) to the top every Friday afternoon. The fuel tank is also to be filled up before any public holiday(s).
• Always checks the daily and or weekly planning of his car and makes sure that the car is ready for departure on time.
• Is responsible for the number and condition of tools and the spare parts, like spare tyre, High-lift jack listed on the car logbook.
• To secure and guard the vehicle and cargo while on duty. The driver must always stay close to the vehicle to attend to the radio.
• Perform any additional task as per the instruction of the supervisors.
• Not allowed:
• Driving after drinking alcohol.
• Carrying non-MSF passengers without authorisation.
• Carrying armed passengers or anybody dressed in a military uniform.
• Transporting private goods without authorization.
• Transporting commercial goods.
• Smoking when carrying dangerous goods (including gas bottles, even when empty).

• Minimum SSC Pass.
• Educational Qualification may be relaxed for extraordinary candidates.
• Satisfactory level of English language skill (verbal).

Experience Requirements

• At least 2 year(s)

• At least 2 years experienced driver with recognised driver licence
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance
• High sense of responsibility and reliability
• DESIRABLE
• Previous experience in a similar role with other organizations.
